We Are Innovation Just Landed in Zambia, by Partnering Up with the Blockchain and Web3 Community Network
Lusaka, Zambia (April 16, 2025) — We Are Innovation is expanding its influence in Africa. The global network secured a partnership with the Blockchain and Web3 Community Network (BWCN), establishing its footprint in Zambia.
BWCN is a non-profit initiative that aims to educate and empower African communities on emerging technologies like Blockchain, Web3 and Artificial Intelligence, in order to make sure Africa plays an active role in the digital future. Such a commitment is perfectly aligned with We Are Innovation’s purpose, which focuses on exploring how technological advancements and innovative approaches can improve people’s lives, while protecting individual choices.
Moreover, BWCN is not just We Are Innovation’s first partner in Zambia, but also its first partner in the broader region of Southern Africa. With a young average population, vast mineral resources and growing tech and entrepreneurship hubs, this region’s potential for progress and economic growth must be addressed. Zambia, in particular, has been developing several innovation-oriented programs – like the ZICTA ITC Innovation Programme, UniPod and ICT Hubs for Women – that equip its citizens with the appropriate training and tools to develop its greater abilities.
Emmanuel Mangalashi, the co-founder of BWCN, sees this partnership as mutually beneficial, “Blockchain is not just technology – it’s a tool for empowerment and transformation. Through our partnership with We Are Innovation, we’re moving from ideas to impact, ensuring the voices of the Global South shape the future of innovation through education, advocacy, and action.”
We Are Innovation’s Chief Operations Officer, Tania Rak, is also enthusiastic about the network’s newest collaboration, “At We Are Innovation, we believe progress is only meaningful when it’s inclusive. Partnering with the Blockchain and Web3 Community Network marks a new chapter — not just for our presence in Southern Africa but for our mission to co-create a future where innovation is a shared language. Zambia’s tech and civic landscape inspires us, and we’re proud to walk this path together and connect more innovators with each other.”
We Are Innovation admires the work BWCN has been doing and hopes this partnership can enlarge Africa’s horizons and contribute to a prosperous tomorrow.
