About the Expert Panel Dialogue

Panellists: 

Tomasz Agencki (POL) is a broadcaster and documentary filmmaker. He was awarded the prize for best international documentary at the ANTHEM Festival in Las Vegas 2020 for his film about the European Union. In each work, Tomasz focuses on the hidden or unknown side of history, politics or technology.

Suely Castro (BRA)in her role as an International Stakeholder Engagement and Event Director at Knowledge Action Change (KAC), Suely has built her professional journey around an unwavering commitment to fostering impactful dialogue and collaboration across global platforms. With a well-established track record in orchestrating stakeholder engagement for events worldwide, she possesses a deep understanding of the dynamics that underpin successful international events and cross-cultural collaboration.

She has had the privilege of collaborating with local, regional, and international partners, resulting in a remarkable portfolio of events hosted in renowned locations spanning Europe, Oceania, Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, North America, and South America. Beyond her responsibilities as an event director, she’s had the honor of serving as a speaker and moderator at numerous international events.

Suely’s remarkable ability to navigate diverse cultural landscapes, coupled with strong project management and cross-cultural communication skills, has enabled her to effectively connect with global audiences. Many of the individuals she has connected with through her professional endeavors have now become cherished friends.

Martin Cullip (UK) is a former company director and International Fellow of the Taxpayers Protection Alliance Consumer Center, who has written and blogged on free market and lifestyle consumer issues for over a decade. As a user of e-cigarettes and other safer nicotine products, he is a particularly passionate consumer advocate for all forms of tobacco harm reduction and has a keen interest in the rapidly evolving nicotine market and the politics surrounding it. Martin is a former Chair of UK educational charity, The New Nicotine Alliance, and has taken part in parliamentary evidence sessions and consumer, industry, and political events on the subject domestically and internationally.

Dr. Delon Human (ZAF) is a Specialist Family Physician, Global Health Advocate and co-author of the recently published reports on “Saving Lives like Sweden” and “Integrating harm reduction into tobacco control – how many lives could be saved by accelerating tobacco control policies in Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Pakistan and South Africa?”.

Previously, Delon served as Secretary-General and CEO of the World Medical Association, Secretary-General of the International Food and Beverage Alliance, Director of the African Harm Reduction Alliance and adviser to the WHO Director-General and to UN Secretary-General. 

In tobacco control, he is a published author and global health advocate. Dr. Human has become a vocal advocate for a change in public health thinking, from the abstinence-only approach to a more pragmatic and expanded use of nicotine-delivery systems as a substitute or cessation tool for smoking. He authored the book Wise nicotine.

Dr. Human holds qualifications in medicine, child health and business studies.
