About the Webinar:
During this webinar, our experts will discuss the non-academic influence on educational outcomes in the European Union. Tune in and discover how such factors as socio-economic background, family support, cultural influences, digital divide, extracurricular activities, and peer relationships affect educational outcomes.
Our speakers will also examine the existing policies and initiatives implemented in the European Union to address non-academic influences, highlighting successful interventions and best practices from different member states as well as the role of educators, policymakers, parents, and communities in creating an environment that supports positive educational outcomes, regardless of non-academic factors.
About the speakers:
Dr Maria Papavergos (GRE) is a general dentist and practicing yoga instructor with over 10 years of clinical experience and a particular interest in nutrition. She founded The Lifestyle Dentist to help spread her preventative philosophy and lifestyle-centered approach to oral health.
Dora Christodoulou (GRE) is a member of the EU Youth Hub in Greece and a freelance research and policy analyst in Government and Public Affairs. She is currently a candidate for the MA in International Relations and Diplomacy at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.
She holds a BA in European Studies and an MA in Global Political Economy. Her expertise lies in EU external relations in trade cooperation and development. Dora has also worked in the education sector, more specifically in career guidance. She has worked closely on developing psychometric tools (on interests, skills, and personality) for educational outcomes.
Tetiana Rak (UKR) is the CCO of We Are Innovation, a journalist and freedom activist with 8 years of experience. She has worked with renowned media outlets, including CNN, TechCrunch, Fox News, HackerNoon, the BBC, and Radio Free Europe. Her unwavering dedication to championing the ideas of technological advancements and global digital transformations has earned her a distinguished reputation in the field.
