About the Expert Panel Dialogue:
Carissa Düring (SWE) is the Director of Considerate Pouchers in Sweden, a consumer advocacy group dedicated to promoting a smoke-free world and consumers’ rights to alternative products. She also studies clinical psychology at Uppsala University in Sweden. As an advocate, she brings attention to how successful nicotine pouches have been in helping Sweden achieve the lowest smoking rates in the European Union, and how the rest of the world can follow in its footsteps.
Markus Lindblad (SWE) is Head of Legal and External Affairs for the Haypp Group. He studied economic history and political science at Stockholm University. Markus is a former adviser in corporate communication & government affairs at several communications agencies. He also held several senior positions in regulated industries such as banking, finance, and tobacco.
Dr. Anders Milton (SWE) is a physician with extensive experience in public service, a highly sought-after consultant in the healthcare sector and a former chair of the WMA. Currently the owner and CEO of Milton Consulting and current chair of the Snus Commission. He is the Chairman of the Board of three foundations that work with education for children and adolescents and several for-profit companies in the field of life science.
Dr. Fredrik H. Nystrom (SWE) is Professor at Department of Medical and Health Sciences, Linköping University, Linköping, Sweden. His major research areas are Internal Medicine (General Medicine), Obesity and Appetite regulation, Insulin, Cholesterol, Hypertension, Atherosclerosis, Metabolism, and Diabetes.
Emelie Nyman (SWE) is a Member of the Swedish Parliament and serves as the Vice Chairman of the Center Party Youth.
Patrik Strömer (SWE) serves as the Secretary General of the Swedish Association of Snus Manufacturers. His professional journey includes significant roles such as a PA-Consultant at Kreab Stockholm and as Editor in Chief at Svenska Nyhetsbyrån, the Swedish News Agency. Strömer’s extensive experience also encompasses freelance writing and journalism, further highlighted by his achievement as a winner on the Swedish Quiz Show “Jeopardy!”.
Academically, he is well-versed, having pursued studies in Philosophy, History, Political Science, and Marketing at institutions including Lund University and Linnaeus University.
