We Are Innovation and Bait Al Amanah Team Up: Innovation Without Borders Comes to Malaysia
Lisbon, Portugal (October 16, 2024). We Are Innovation is excited to announce its newly established partnership with Bait Al Amanah (House of Trust), a Malaysian independent research institute.
Through this partnership, We Are Innovation and Bait Al Amanah hope to contribute to the improvement of policies and promotion of innovation in Malaysia and in the region of Southeast Asia. With nearly 700 million inhabitants, this region is one of the most populous in the world, it encompasses emerging economies, facing growing entrepreneurship, and attracting significant investments.
Malaysia takes 33rd ranking in the Global Innovation Index 2024, being the second most innovative country from Southeast Asia. With the launching of the National Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) in 2021, Malaysia is focused on increasing productivity, improving digital infrastructure, enhancing digital skills, and promoting innovation, standing as a key place to explore a brighter, more creative, and more prosperous future. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, in turn, is an industrial hub going through its Smart City Master Plan 2021-2025, which aims for a smarter economy, living, environment, people, governance, mobility, and digital infrastructure.
Benedict Weerasena, Research Director of Bait Al Amanah, shares his optimism about the collaboration, stating, “Our partnership with We Are Innovation marks an exciting chapter for Bait Al Amanah.
